Future Squadron Field Reenactment Events Announced!
Save the date! There will be a summertime reenactment event at Squadron Field near Parsons, KS from May 31-June 1, 2013. Summertime events can be pretty toasty – summer uniforms recommended!
Also, there will be a fall event Columbus Day Weekend at Squadron Field.
These events all require pre-registration and a small entry fee.

First annual WWI Weekend to be held at the National WWI Museum
Save the date! The Living History Volunteer Corps at the World War I Museum will be inviting MGWLHA members to participate in the first World War I weekend on the grounds of the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial on September 7-8, 2013.
Exact event details are sketchy at the moment, but expect a full-experience field event to stretch over two days with overnight camping on site.

Memorial Day with the MGWLHA at the National WWI Museum
The MGWLHA will be participating in the annual Memorial Day celebrations at the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Living historians from the MGWLHA and the Museum’s Living History Volunteer Corps (LHVC) will be interacting with museum guests, talking about the soldiers’ experiences during the war. While you’re there, check out the Military Vehicle Preservation Association (MVPA) display on the lawn, and stick around for the Celebration at the Station fireworks after sunset.
